Ghana defender, Baba Rahman provides an update on his well-being following a scary moment during a Greek Cup match on Wednesday, February 21.
The player collapsed during the game but scans revealed no major injuries, for which he expresses gratitude to fans for their support.
During the semi-final clash between POAK and Panathinaikos, Rahman, in the starting lineup, suffered a knock-out incident in extra time due to a clash of heads while attempting to clear a corner kick.
Despite losing consciousness momentarily, he regained awareness after medical attention and was subsequently taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Although PAOK won the game 2-1 in extra time, and the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate, with Panathinaikos emerging victorious in the penalty shootout, Rahman's health took precedence.
In an update, he reassures fans of his recovery, mentioning no significant damage from the incident and expressing gratitude to those who checked on him, notably Georgios Vagiannidis.
Rahman, who has revitalized his career at PAOK after joining last summer, has been a key figure for the club, featuring in 30 matches across various competitions this season and contributing both defensively and offensively with three goals and three assists.
