Côte d'Ivoire's rising star, Simon Adingra, reflects on his unforgettable moment as he helped secure victory in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final against Nigeria, marking it as a highlight of his career.

The 22-year-old played a pivotal role, contributing assists for both goals scored by Cotê d’Ivoire and earning the prestigious TotalEnergies Man of the Match award for his stellar performance.

Adingra showcased his prowess on the flanks, relentlessly tormenting the Nigerian defense with his dribbling skills, penetrating runs, and pinpoint crosses throughout the match.

In his reflection on the triumph, the talented forward emphasized the collective effort of his teammates, acknowledging their crucial role in securing Cotê d’Ivoire's third AFCON title in history.

"It's an incredible feeling to be crowned Africa champions. This victory is a testament to the unity and dedication of our team," expressed Adingra, who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion.
