Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum says the Black Stars are determined to make the country proud by beating Comoros.

Having opened their 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 win against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium, the Black Stars will be hosted by The Coelacanths in the second group of the qualifiers later today.

Comoros however secured a 4-2 win over Central African Republic in their opener.

However, Asante Twum speaking in an interview said the Black Stars had a good training and are determined to beat Comoros as they hope to make it to the next edition of the Mundial.

"The players had a very good training on Monday. The technical team had talks with players ahead of the game and the players responded very well," he told Asempa FM.

"Before training, the players monitored the outcome of the other group games and I can say the players are determined to win against Comoros and make Ghana proud.

"We saw the benefit the country had when qualified for the World Cup in Qatar so they are ready and determined to win," he added.

The game has been scheduled to kick off at 16:00GMT.

Meanwhile, the team will be without Daniel Amartey who has been ruled out of the game with an injury.

Mohammed Kudus will be assessed after failing to complete training on Monday due to a back problem.
