The Ministry of Youth and Sports has stated that the late footballer Raphael Dwamena's legacy will be forever remembered in the history of Ghanaian football.
Dwamena tragically passed away at the age of 28 after suffering a fatal heart attack during an Albanian league match on Saturday, November 11.
The said incident has prompted an outpouring of grief in Ghana and around the world of football.
In an official statement dated November 13, the Ministry's Public Relations Unit said "Raphael's contributions to the beautiful game and his impact on the field will forever be remembered.”
The Ministry further noted, “His legacy will continue to inspire young talents, and his memory will be in etched in the annals of Ghanaian football."
The Ghanaian star had emerged as the top scorer in Albania this season, netting nine goals.
The ministry also expressed its condolences to the family, friends, teammates and the entire football fraternity around the globe.
