Ghana international, Osman Bukari put on a good shift for Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night when the team faced off with Manchester City in the Uefa Champions League.
After three months since the English giants won the Uefa Champions League title, the new season of the competition has kicked off today.
In the team’s first match to defend the title, Manchester City hosted Serbian outfit Red Star Belgrade at Etihad Stadium.
Despite dominating the first half, the hosts trailed at halftime time after a late equaliser from Ghana star Osman Bukari handed the visitors the lead to take into the break.
Unfortunately, Red Star Belgrade forgot how to defend against Manchester City after the break.
The home team turned the game around thanks to a brace from forward Julián Álvarez and a strike from Rodri.
In the end, Manchester City dispatched Red Star Belgrade with a 3-1 comeback win.
Osman Bukari’s goal today is his first-ever in the Uefa Champions League. He had a good game today and will hope to score more in upcoming games.
