Former Ghanaian international footballer, Augustine Arhinful, has heaped praise on the outstanding performances of Black Stars players Ernest Nuamah and Antoine Semenyo in recent matches.

While lauding their contributions to the national team's success, Arhinful also offered valuable advice to Nuamah regarding his playing style.

Both Nuamah and Semenyo played pivotal roles in the Black Stars' recent matches against Central African Republic (CAR) and Liberia, showcasing their impact on the team.

In the crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against CAR, Semenyo, as a substitute, provided a key assist for Nuamah, ultimately securing a 2-1 victory for Ghana and qualification for the upcoming AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.

In an international friendly against Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium, Nuamah, who recently joined Lyon, displayed his prowess by scoring a goal in the Black Stars' 3-1 victory.

Augustin Arhinful, while evaluating the performances of both players, commended their seamless integration into the national team and their impressive contributions.

However, he also provided constructive advice to Nuamah, emphasizing the need to strike a balance in his decision-making on the field.

“They’ve done well, but Nuamah needs to learn not to take players on all the time. Not all balls require taking on a player,” Arhinful remarked during an interview with Graphic Sports.
