Southampton have confirmed that Kamaldeen Sulemana's red card against Leicester City has been successfully appealed.

The winger was introduced in the second half of the game after recovering from an injury.

However, Sulemana was shown a straight red card for a tackle on James Justin in the final moments as his Southampton side lost 4-1 at home to Leicester City in the Championship over the weekend.

The decision was confirmed by Southampton coach Russell Martin in a pre-match press conference, breathing a sigh of relief for fans ahead of their game against Ipswich Town.

"Jan Bednarek is back in the squad and we won our appeal with Kamaldeen, so Kamaldeen is in the squad which is good news," Martin said.

Southampton is 9th on the Championship League table with 10 points after six games.

Kamaldeen Sulemana is now available for selection tomorrow against Ipswich Town.
