Real Tamale United coach, Abdul Mumin says they will continue to recruit homegrown players to achieve success following their win over Hearts of Oak.
Owusu Afriyie scored the only goal as the Northerners secured their first win of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season on Friday night at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
After the all-important win, Mumin lauded his players and assured that they will continue to use homegrown players.
"The belief carried us to were we got to we are also developmental coaches we want to always grow people that nobody knows," he said.
"From the team, you could see unknown players but they were in Tamale here we will still bring new players that people will not give chances.
"They have the top players in the country elsewhere expatriate coaches but the end of the day the homegrown players did what was expected of them," he added.
RTU will travel to play Bofoakwa Tano in the matchday 2 games this weekend.
