Reports are rife about the sickness of a goalkeeper of Legon Cities Football Club, William Essu, just a day after the club announced the sudden demise of their first-choice goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey.
The club said efforts are being made to address the situation of the ailing goalkeeper.
In a press statement, Legon Cities urged the media to be circumspect about their reportage and discussion concerning Essu’s illness.
The club’s statement read in full: “Our attention has been drawn to pictures of our goalkeeper William Essu circulating on various social media platforms with discussions on traditional media platforms.
We plead with the media and general public to be circumspect in the reportage of Essu's health as all efforts are being made to address the player's current situation.”
