Former Asante Kotoko striker, Eric Bekoe has urged the club to put in proper preparation ahead of the Ghana Premier League season.

The Porcupine Warriors struggled last campaign but finished 4th on the league log.

With the season set to get underway in September, Bekoe has urged the playing body to be in the best shape to compete well.

“It is all about preparation, life is all about preparation and when that preparation meets favour, it makes it very loud and then very ceremonial," he told Radio Gold.

“No matter how you are, no matter who you are, if you don’t have good preparation when the battle is set now you realize that I should have got the right preparation.

“All the clubs have to get the right preparation and then know the model of their club, what is the model of the club?

“Is it result oriented or is it the Arsenal type that when Arsene Wenger was there they prepared players, sustained them and sold them?

“Or Kotoko being result oriented where even to choose a coach or to pick players, you need to be very specific on the kind of players that you are going to bring because it is not a place to experiment, that place is for the big guys," he added.

Asante Kotoko will get their season underway with a home game against Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium.
