Kpando Heart of Lions roared to devour Ashantigold 3-0 in their topmost league clash at Kpando yesterday.

The sweet victory lifted Lions to the second position on the table, while Ashantigold dropped to third in the process.

Black Meteors midfielder, Eric Bekoe, set Lions on the winning trail in the first half after beating goalkeeper Fatau Dauda in post for Ashantigold.

After recess, enterprising striker Sadat Bukari doubled the lead for the homesters with a great goal which received wild applause from the expectant home crowd.

While Ashantigold were pressing for the equaliser, Bekoe registered a personal second on the afternoon to put their opponents beyond recovery.

• Gamba All Blacks needed a 90th minute penalty converted by striker Bismark Aidan to hold Tema Youth to a 1-1 draw in their Onetouch Premier League match at the Swedru Park yesterday, writes Jonathan Kwaku Brainoo.

After a barren first half, the visitors drew first blood in the 65th minute through defender Yahaya Seidu after connecting skipper Ekow Benson's freekick past goalkeeper Isaac Akrong.

Try as All Blacks did, they could not penetrate the resolute Tema Youth defence till they were awarded a deserving penalty on the stroke of full time.
