Medeama SC crowned Champions of Ghana Premier League for the first time

Tarkwa-based Medeama Sporting Club have been crowned Champions of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

This is the first time in the history of the club that the team has lifted the Ghanaian top-flight league title.

Medeama SC are champions despite going through stages of struggles throughout the season.

The team had to change two managers before finding the right rhythm to compete in the league.

On Sunday afternoon, the team locked horns with Tamale City FC needing just a point to clinch the league title.

Playing in front of the home fans, the team was not ready to leave anything to chance.

An explosive start to the game saw the side taking the lead after just seven minutes into the first half when Joshua Agyemang scored.

That goal separated the two teams at halftime before the forward scored two more in the second half to secure a delightful 3-0 win for his team.

Thanks to the win, Medeama SC have been crowned Champions of the Ghana Premier League for the team's first league title.
