My Black Stars experience he has been amazing - Tariq Lamptey

Brighton and Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey has described his experience with the Black Stars as 'amazing'.

The young and promising right back after completing his nationality switch to the West African country made his debut for the Black Stars against Brazil in a friendly game against Brazil.

Lamptey replaced Iddrisu Baba in the 72nd minute as Ghana were walloped by Brazil in Le Havre as part of the preparation ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Speaking about his experience with the senior national team, the former Chelsea right-back said it has been exciting and amazing.

"It was an amazing experience for me," he told Citi Breakfast Show.

"We have a good team with most of the players playing in Europe and the boys made it easy for me to come to a family environment and we enjoyed it.

"We know where we can get to and I am honestly grateful," he added.

Tariq Lamptey was part of the Black Stars squad that featured at the Mundial and was lauded for his impressive performance despite Ghana's early exit.

He is expected to be left out of Black Stars squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Madagascar next month due to an injury that has kept him out for months.
