The draw for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) U23 tournament has been completed, with Ghana placed in Group A alongside Morocco, Congo, and Guinea.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 28 to July 8, with the top three nations earning a place at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

The Black Meteors of Ghana will face a tough challenge in the group stage as they go up against hosts Morocco, who will have the home advantage.

Congo and Guinea, who also made it to the tournament, will look to cause upsets and advance to the knockout stages.

The tournament serves as a qualifying event for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, with the top three teams from the competition booking their tickets to the prestigious event.

This means that Ghana's U23 team, coached by Ibrahim Tanko, will be aiming to finish among the top three to qualify for the Olympics.

The Black Meteors have a good record in the competition, having clocked fourth place in the 2019 edition of the tournament, which was hosted by Egypt.

The team will be hoping to achieve success in this year's tournament and secure their place at the Olympics in Paris.
