Bechem United forward, Hafiz Konkoni is eyeing to annex the Ghana Premier League title and the goal king award.
The 25-year-old has so far scored 14 goals in the ongoing 2022/23 campaign with five games to end the season.
Berekum Chelsea's Mezack Afriyie was on top with 12 when Konkoni was trailing behind but since his exit from the league to Belgian side KAA Gent, the lanky forward has taking over and isn't looking back anytime soon.
However, there's a very hot chase on him from Kotoko's Steven Mukwala, Abednego Tetteh, Sampson Eduku and others who are all having their sights on the prestigious accolade.
But Konkoni says he is more focused on being a GPL winner despite trailing leaders Aduana Stars with three but will be very elated to win the goal king as well.
"I want to win the goal king but my priority is to help Bechem United before any personal glory," he told Kumasi based Kessben FM.
- What next?
Konkoni will hope to make Kasim Mingle's starting line and increase his goal tally when they travel to in match-week 30 this weekend when they travel to play Medeama SC at Akoon Park on Sunday.
