The Ghana male senior national team yesterday welcomed their counterpart from Angola to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a Round 3 encounter of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
After a tough contest in 90 minutes, a solitary strike from Antoine Semenyo handed the Black Stars an important 1-0 victory to amass the maximum three points.
Courtesy of the win, Ghana opened a three-point gap at the top of the Group E standings of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON.
Today, the Black Stars have commenced preparations for the reverse fixture of the qualifiers against Angola.
That game will be played in Luanda on Monday, March 27.
Ghana head coach Chris Hughton is working with his players to improve their performance in that game.
