2023 AFCON Qualifiers: We will give everything to beat Angola, says Black Stars coach Chris Hughton

Chris Hughton has vowed that the Black Stars will go all out in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifying games against Angola.

Ghana will host the Palancas Negras in the matchday games of the qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 16:00GMT.

According to the 64-year-old, although he cannot guarantee the team will win every game, he is confident that the Black Stars under him will play well and battle for wins in any match the team plays.

“We know as a team, and as the players, we have the responsibility to return this and the supporters must enjoy what they see," he said.

"I can never guarantee the results but mostly they will see a team that is giving everything to get the result,” he added.

The Black Stars will travel to Luanda for the reverse game on March 27.

The team held their final training session at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday and look set for the game apart from Mohammed Salisu failed to train due to fitness issues.

The Black Stars are joint top of Group E alongside Angola with both teams with four points after two games.
