GPL: Asante Kotoko back in second after beating Bechem United 1-0

Asante Kotoko’s ambition to defend the Ghana Premier League title is back on course.

This follows a narrow victory over Bechem United on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors today hosted the Hunters in a Week 19 encounter of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

While the reds would be faced with a very tough contest, the team managed to ride the storm and finished the game with a 1-0 win.

It was all thanks to a solitary strike from attacker Enoch Morrison in the 22^nd minute of the first half.

Courtesy of the three points amassed today, Asante Kotoko have moved back to second on the Ghana Premier League table.

The team is five points behind Aduana Stars, the side that is top of the Ghana Premier League standings.

The Kumasi-based club is keen on winning the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season after suffering elimination from the MTN FA Cup at the hands of Aduana Stars last weekend.
