Legon Cities FC could drop into the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League standings at the end of this weekend following another defeat.
The Royals today played as a guest to Medeama SC in a Week 18 encounter of the 2022/23 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Before the game today, Legon Cities FC had suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to Samartex FC last weekend.
While coach Maxwell Konadu hoped to lead the Accra-based club to victory today, things did not go according to plan.
Medeama SC today played some impressive football and scored a goal in each half to carry the day.
First, Nurudeen Abdulai equalised in the 39th minute to take the lead before the first-half break.
Later in the second half, a 71st-minute strike from Joshua Agyemang after a good team move handed Medeama SC a delightful 2-0 win at the end of full-time.
The win has seen the team in Tarkwa moving to 6th on the Ghana Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Legon Cities are 15th on the league log and just one place above the relegation zone.
