2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 15: Ten-man Legon Cities FC hold Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw

Hearts of Oak put up a good performance on Wednesday afternoon but could not beat ten-man Legon Cities FC.

In a Week 15 encounter of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, the Phobians played host to the opponent.

Throughout the game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak enjoyed the better share of possession and looked like the side with a good chance of scoring.

Unfortunately, the attackers just didn’t have their scoring boots on.

In a second half of good displays from both teams, neither side did much to get on the scoresheet.

Legon Cities FC got themselves into trouble just three minutes into the second half when defender Bortey Acquaye received a red card.

Despite having the numerical advantage for the remainder of the game, Hearts of Oak could not score and have been forced to succumb to a draw at the end of the contest.

Hearts of Oak may have dropped two vital points today but remains third on the Ghana Premier League standings.
