Talented youngster, Clinton Duodu was almost unplayable on Friday afternoon as he put up an outstanding performance to lead his team to a 3-1 win against Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The versatile attacker started for the Hunters today when the team played as guests to the Royals in the Week 14 encounter of this season’s Ghanaian top-flight league.
In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, Legon Cities FC had control of the contest in the early parts and took advantage to break the deadlock in the 14th minute.
Attacker Alex Aso scored from a tight angle to give his team the lead while the fans cheered in the stands.
Unfortunately, the players could not maintain the momentum to pile pressure on the visitors, leaving Bechem United to take control of the game.
In the 29th minute, the away team scored through forward Emmanuel Avornyo’s close-range effort to force the first half to end in a 1-1 draw.
Duodu equalised with a sublime finish in the 58th minute to give Bechem United the lead for the first time in the game before talisman Hafiz Konkoni put the game to bed in the 78th minute with a poacher’s finish.
With a dominant display from the Hunters in the second half led by exciting youngster Clinton Duodo, the team is returning to Bechem with all three points.
The win has catapulted Bechem United from 6th to second in the Ghana Premier League standings.
