Asante Kotoko defender Sheriff Mohammed get late Black Galaxies call up - Reports

Asante Kotoko centre-back, Sheriff Mohammed has been handed a call-up to the Black Galaxies according to media report .

Mohammed has been a key figure for the Reds following his three year move from lower-tier side EurAfrica FC in August.

The 20-year-old has established himself at the back line of the Porcupine Warriors and managed to feature in all eight league games for the Kumasi-based club in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

With few months to the start of the 2023 African Nations Championship, Annor Walker, who is the head coach for the Black Galaxies has released a 40 provisional man list to begin camping at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence, Prampram towards the competition.

Ghana is drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Sudan, and Madagascar.

The 2022 CHAN was moved to 2023 due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and it is scheduled to commence on January 13, 2023, in Algeria
