Black Stars poster boy, Mohammed Kudus has expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for supporting the national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

According to him, the Black Stars let Ghana down and take full responsibility for failing to achieve the target of at least advancing past the group stages of the tournament.

“A team is like a puzzle, every jigsaw piece is important to solve a problem or complete a picture. When 🇬🇭 needed us the most, collectively by our arts we painted an unpleasant picture souring 12 years of pain.

“As a team we take responsibility for letting Ghana down but we pick the positives to grow. History has proven that the most valuable arts came from good to great with time & purpose. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thank you for the love & support,” Mohammed Kudus posted on his social media on Monday, December 5.

Mohammed Kudus, 22, was the standout player of the Black Stars in the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He provided an assist in the 3-2 defeat to Portugal and scored a fantastic brace to lead Ghana to defeat South Korea 3-2.

Unfortunately, the 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in the final Group H match of the tournament has sent the Black Stars home.
