Otto Addo has announced Black Stars starting XI for their opener against Portugal in the ongoing 2022 World Cup.

Ghana will come up against the European side at the Stadium 974.

The four-time African champions will be hoping to be the first African nation to record a win or score a goal at the ongoing tournament after Senegal and Cameroon losing their opening games while Morocco and Tunisia sharing spoils with Croatia and Denmark.

Swiss-based goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi has been handed the nod with Alidu Seidu and Baba Abdul Rahman on the flanks of the defense.

Trio Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Daniel Amartey will be in the heart of defense in a 3-5-2 system while Jordan Ayew and Tariq Lamptey have been dropped to the bench.

Kick-off is at 16:00GMT.
