Controversial Ghanaian sports journalist Patrick Osei Agyeman, largely known as Countryman Songo has cautioned coach Otto Addo of the Black Stars ahead of their Qatar 2022 World Cup campaign.

He told the coach to select players who are on form, can deliver and push Ghana ahead.

The regular host of 'fire for fire', a popular sports show on Accra-based Adom TV reiterated that Ghanaians will never forgive the coach should he exhibit carelessness that will lead to the team’s elimination.

In a tweet on Wednesday, November 23, seen by Modernghana News, he wrote, “Otto Addo! Ghana will not accept poor performances at the World Cup, select the right men.”

Ghana is set to lock horns with the Portuguese side on Thursday, November 24 in Doha at Stadium 974, in their first World Cup Group Stage campaign.

The Black Stars will move ahead to meet South Korea on Monday, November 28, and finally Uruguay on Friday, December 2.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars of Ghana are currently rated as the lowest-performing team among the 32 countries, at 61 on the FIFA world rankings for the tournament, followed by Saudi Arabia.

However, after an incredible performance against the Swiss national team in a friendly game on Thursday, November 17, where the Stars walked over their opponents by 2-0, many now have faith the team is ready to compete.

Recent updates from Qatar reveal that the coach, at a pre-match press conference, assured that the Black Stars will fight hard and will not be distracted by the fearful Ronaldo, 37-year-old Portuguese captain.
