Ghana goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott is expected to arrive at the camp of the Black Stars in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday, November 22.

The Charlton Athletic goalkeeper played a key role to help Ghana secure qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Due to an injury to his finger, he has been ruled out of the World Cup.

Fortunately, for him, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has agreed for him to be with the Black Stars in Qatar for the tournament.

Today, the Ghana FA has through an official statement confirmed that Joseph Wollacott will join his Black Stars teammates tomorrow at their camp in Doha.

"Joseph Wollacott who is not part of the final squad for the 2022 World Cup will join the team's base in Qatar for the match against Portugal.

Goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott will travel to Doha on Tuesday, November 22, to support the Black Stars in their opening Group H match on Thursday,” parts of the GFA statement said on Monday.

The Black Stars will open their campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in a clash against Portugal.

That encounter is scheduled to be played at the 971 Stadium in Doha.

Subsequently, after the game against Portugal, the Black Stars will take on their counterparts from South Korea and Uruguay.

Joseph Wollacott, 26, will however not play in any of Ghana's games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
