Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has disclosed that he was satisfied with the performance new Black Stars players who were given the chance to feature in the friendly against Switzerland.
In the final international friendly against the Swiss, the coach handed debut starts to Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Abdul Salis Samed, and Tariq Lamptey. Winger Kamal Sowah was also introduced in the second half for his official debut.
All the players made a good account of themselves and helped Ghana to secured a deserved 2-0 win at the end of the game.
Speaking in a post-match interview, coach Otto Addo said a good performance from the new players is a confidence booster for the entire team ahead of the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“It's good for the team to see that we have a lot of players. As a Coach I will have to decide in the end, we have a lot of possibilities, and this gives us confidence. I want the team to stick together and come together despite somebody is playing or not.
“Hopefully we have a lot of games at the World Cup and then I hope that everybody will get the chance to play but for me it's important to see that everybody can play at this level,” Coach Otto Addo said.
The Black Stars will travel from Abu Dhabi to Qatar later this evening to prepare for the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Sunday, November 20.
