Asamoah Gyan is the best Ghanaian striker, says Great Olympics midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu

Great Olympics midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has named Asamoah Gyan as his best Ghanaian striker of all time.

Gyan remains one of the most decorated Ghanaian footballers in the history of the country.

The former Liberty Professionals is currently Ghana’s all-time top scorer with 51 goals in 106 appearances and Africa’s leading top scorer with six goals at the FIFA World Cup.

Badu, who played the 2014 Mundial with Gyan in Brazil insists that although the county has seen other great talents, the former Sunderland striker surpasses them all.

“I will pick Asamoah Gyan as the best striker ever because he is the one I played with,” he told Sports Obama TV.

“We didn’t watch most of the senior players, but at least I have read about them and what they did in the game, but I think Gyan is the best ever," he added.

Many have called for the inclusion of Asamoah Gyan in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

Gyan has played in 2006, 2010, and 2014 global showpieces with the Black Stars.
