AshantiGold managed a 2-1 victory over Sekondi Hasaacas in an unimpressive GT league match at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. Daniel Asamoah and Nasir Lamine found the net for AshGold whilst Daniel Aquaye scored for Hasaacas.
The match was characterized by poor spectatorship coupled with inaccurate passes from both sides. Dan Asamoah who elected himself for the kick placed the ball at the wrong side of the goalie of the visitors.
Hasaacas lifted their game with long passes and beautiful inter-positional displays that attracted applause from the stands but failed to find the needed equalizer.
Ofosu Amoah in the 31st minute beat his marker in the 18yard box and laid a pass meant for Kofi Deblah but Michael Addo made timely interception to the relief of the visiting team.
Hasaacas made their first substitution in the 44th minute when Godfred Yartey took over from Eric Owusu.
Adu Gyamfi was yellow carded in the 54th minute when he brought down an opponent. Four minutes later Daniel Addo also attracted the referee's yellow card for similar offence.
Nasir Lamine in the 62nd minute set the Stadium alive when he powered home Adu Gyamfi's cross for the second goal.
Kofi Amoako and Daniel Asamoah were booked for rough plays in the 71st and 86th minutes respectively for physical plays.
Ricky Assuman and Thomas Duah came on for Nasir Lamine and Kofi Deblah respectively in the dying part of the game but the changes could not yield any results until Daniel Aquaye cancelled one of the goals in the 90th minute.
