Wasteful Bofoakwa, who surprised all with their enterprising brand of soccer at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, let the home team, Liberty Professional off the hook when they failed to convert many of the scoring chances they created to end the game goalless. Bofoakwa, who have one of the worst away records without a single win in the league and are currently languishing on the 12th position in the 16-team league, played one of their best matches dominating highflying Liberty from start to finish.

Liberty who were a pale shadow of the side that walloped Kotoko 3-1 at the same venue some two weeks ago, could have gone down as early as the 17th-minute, but for a moment of indecision on the part of Yaw Antwi, their leading goal scorer, who allowed Liberty's defence to regroup and robbed him off the ball after he had been set-up by man-of-the match Kingsley Agyman.

The Bofoakwa onslaught on the Liberty goal area continued when Antwi latched onto a loose ball after a corner-kick to fire in an unstoppable shot which was surprisingly headed out of the post by David Addo who was guarding one the goal posts.

Frustrated by the dominance of the away team, Liberty's Dan Yeboah elbowed a Bofoakwa mid-fielder right in front of Referee Alhassan Brobbey in the 44th-minute resulting in him being sent off. The rhythm of the game change briefly in favour of Liberty in the early stages of the second half, creating some decent chances which the Bofoakwa defence managed to deal with.

Normal service resumed for Bofoakwa as they took control of the game but poor shooting and over elaboration in front of goal ensured that they threw away many of the countless chances that came their way.
