Asante Kotoko announce the acquisition of Ernest Osei Poku as signing spree continues

Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of young midfielder Ernest Osei Opoku.

While preparing for the start of the 2022/23 football season, the Kumasi-based club has decided to strengthen the squad of the team with quality players.

As a result, the club has since the last few weeks been in talks with talented players in hopes of securing their signatures.

Today, Asante Kotoko in an official statement has confirmed that midfielder Ernest Osei Opoku has been signed.

“New in the City of Kumasi is 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐬𝐞𝐢 𝐏𝐨𝐤𝐮.

“The midfielder joins us on a free transfer in a three-year deal having completed routine medical checks. 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗢𝘀𝗲𝗶,” a post on the Twitter page of Asante Kotoko said on Monday, August 15.

The midfielder becomes the fifth player Asante Kotoko have signed in the off-season.

Others include goalkeepers Frederick Asare and Pouaty Dendoum Moise D’Assie, defender Koualao Dane Djomian Thomas Pele, and striker Steven Mukwala.
