OFFICIAL: Asante Kotoko confirm signing Cameroonian defender Thomas Pele

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of Cameroonian goalkeeper, Koualao Dane Djomian Thomas Pele on a free transfera ahead of the new Ghana football season.

Thomas Pele has joined the reigning Ghana Premier League champions on a three-year deal after passing a mandatory medical earlier this week.

Pele who once capped for Cameroon at the U-23 level joined the Porcupine Warriors from Dragon of Yaounde.

Thomas Pele – who is versatile – will be making is expected to fill the void left by Imoro Ibrahim who recently signed for Sudanese giants Al Hilal.

Pele joins players like Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala, Frederick Aare, compatriot Pouaty Denduom Moise and others who have all joined Kotoko ahead of the 2022/23 season.

He is expected to show his might when the Ghana Premier League kicks off September 9.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will begin their pre-season in Turkey where they will play Nigeria champions, Rivers United.

The Reds will also represent the country in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
