Accra, July 4, GNA - Ghana's Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the CAN 2008, will on Wednesday, July 13, inaugurate the first seven Sub committees set up to coordinate the respective activities of the committee.
A statement issued from the offices of the LOC copied to the GNA Sports named the various committees as the Venues Development, Public/Media Relations and Accreditation, Marketing, Advertising and Sponsorship, Hospitality and Accommodation.
The rest are Team 2008 Facilitation, Finance and Ticketing and Security.
According to the statement, each of the sub-committees will compose of nine members with the mandate of among other functions of co0ordinating the respective activities of the LOC towards the successful organization and hosting of the 26th African nations Cup (CAN) competitions in 2008.
The statement added that five Venues Organizing Committees for the five selected venues, Accra, Kumasi, Sekondi, Tamale and Cape Coast would also be inaugurated within the month.
Dr Kofi Amoah, Chairman of the LOC will inaugurate the committees at a ceremony fixed for the Alisa Hotel in Accra. 04 July 05
