Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union, Mr. Samuel Nana Gyan has expressed joy as peace and unity have returned to the camp of the national boxing team, the Black Bombers after the final selection of the team was named.

On behalf of GHABSU, he commended the Commonwealth Games Ghana (CGA) and executives of the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) and urged the new Black Bombers who are a bunch of experienced boxers to win more medals for the nation.

He also thanked the coaches for defending the selected boxers.

Mr. Samuel Gyan who is a master drummer said the presence of the boxing supporters at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham would be needed as they can sing to motivate the boxers to make it easy for them to win over their opponents.

“Even if five or three of us travel to support the team at the Commonwealth Games, our medal haul will increase,” he said.

Ghana would be represented by 9 boxers and 3 coaches.
