Anloga-Woe based Anlo Ladies Football Club in the Anlo District has won the 2021/2022 Volta Regional Division One Female Middle League 4th consecutive time.

They will represent the region in the women's playoff games this year.

They were presented with Cup and medals.

Four teams such as Anlo Ladies, Agave glad Ladies, Dream Big Ladies and Ave Shining Stars Ladies took part in this year's female middle league games which was held at Ho Sports Stadium from Friday June 24 to Sunday June 26.

The all time Volta champions qualified after putting up an excellent performance in the opening match day one by beating stronger side Dream Big Ladies FC by a lone goal.

Though they lost their second match to Agave Glad Ladies by a goal to nile, they came back strong and with a different attitude. They beat Ave Shining Stars by three goals to zero.

Anlo Ladies qualified ahead of Dream Big Ladies after the two teams were tied with 6 points each from 3 matches with Anlo ladies qualifying.

They will now prepared and represent the region in the national play off with the hope of qualifying for Ghana Women Premiere league next season.

The Volta Champions participated in the play offs last year but failed to make it to the Women Premiere League but this time around they are poised with more hopes to qualify for the Women League next season.

With much more financial challenges that the team encountered last in the process of participating in the play offs,the team manager Mr Hoedzode is hopeful they will get more support in and around Anlo this time to help put up a formidable team that can play, qualify and defend the region.

Mr Wisdom Kobena Mensah Woyome, Member of Parliament for Souh Tongu who doubled as the ranking member of youth and sports, and culture committee of Parliament together with dignitaries from the Volta regional football association were in attendance and many others.
