Accra, March 29, GNA - The CAN 2008 Ghana Local Organising Committee (LOC) is to outdoor a wide range of marketing opportunities available to individuals and corporate organisations to boost the organisation of the programme.
Mr Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operating officer of the LOC in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said the marketing opportunities will cover sponsorship, merchandising, ticketing and licensing towards the organisation and hosting of the 26th Cup of African Nations (CAN) soccer extravaganza.
The statement said the LOC has created different tiers of sponsorship that is made up of major sponsors, marketing partners and providers of agreed annual sums of support for the tournament.
It added that the tournament and other related events such as the celebration of 50 years of association football in Ghana and the commemorative Golden Jubilee affiliations with both CAF and FIFA would present the best marketing opportunities because of its scope and attraction.

Some of the areas where sponsorship is open include insurance, banking, cement, vehicles, non-alcoholic beverages, Information Technology (IT), wireless communication, Express Mail/Courier and Airlines.
