2021/22 GPL Week 33: Full of swagger Asante Kotoko cruise past Elmina Sharks with a 3-0 victory

Asante Kotoko played with a lot of swagger on Sunday night to see off Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a matchday 33 encounter of the Ghana Premier League season.

Having already been known that the Kumasi-based club will be lifting the league title, the Porcupine Warriors today played host to the relegated opponent for the crowning moment.

Keen on making the party more exciting for fans, the players fielded to play for Asante Kotoko played as though the three points will make any significant different.

Courtesy of a stunning free-kick goal converted by talented defender Imoro Ibrahim, the home team led in the 24 minutes.

While there will be no additional goals in the first half, a dominant display from Asante Kotoko in the second half saw Cameroonian forward George Mfegue grab a brace in the last ten minutes to propel the champions to a 3-0 victory against Elmina Sharks.

The win has brought down the curtains to kick start the celebrations for the league triumph in Kumasi.
