Accra Lions put up a fantastic display on Saturday afternoon to see off Berekum Chelsea with a deserved 2-0 win in the Ghana Premier League.
The capital-based outfit today hosted the Blues at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 32 encounter of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
With the home team setting up strong and dominating the first half, the side led by a goal to nil at halftime.
It was all thanks to a thumping header from attacker Remember Boateng who connected to a well-whipped in across from the left side of the attack.
Later in the second half, Berekum Chelsea made the effort to get back into the game but the attack of the visiting team lacked the cutting edge.
In the 74th minute, winger Hagan Frimpong equalised with a curling effort to wrap up a delightful team move to give Accra Lions FC a 2-0 lead.
With no other goals in the remainder of the match, Accra Lions cruised to a win to amass the maximum three points.
The win means that no matter what happens in the remaining two matches of the Ghana Premier League season, Accra Lions cannot be relegated.
