La Liga outfit Sevilla join race to sign Ghana defender Alexander Djiku

Spanish La Liga powerhouse, Sevilla have joined the race to sign Ghana defender, Alexander Djiku this summer according to multiple reports.

The Strasbourg center-back has been impressive in the just-ended campaign.

Djiku made over 30 appearances in all competitions for the Blue and Whites and just a goal to his belt in the just-ended campaign.

Sevilla have already lost centre-back, Diego Carlos, to Premier League side Aston Villa with Jules Kounde also heading to Chelsea this summer.

With this, the six-time Europa League winners have targeted the Black Stars defender and so keen to get him for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Fulham, who has earned a promotion to the Premier League has also exhibited strong interest and have already opened talks with the player's representatives.

Djiku has been left out of Ghana's squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central Africa Republic to sort out his future.
