2021/22 GPL Week 28: Eleven Wonders boost survival dream with 2-1 win against Karela Utd

Eleven Wonders have made a breakthrough with regards to the fight to avoid relegation after defeating Karela United 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The team from Techiman has struggled to compete in the Ghana Premier League since the 2021/22 campaign commenced last year.

As a result, the team has spent the last few weeks fighting for points to ensure they climb out of the relegation zone.

Today at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, Techiman Eleven Wonders hosted Karela United in a matchday 28 game of the season.

Knowing what was at stake, the hosts put up a fantastic performance and managed to score two goals through Sumaila Moro and Laar Ibrahim in the second half.

Although Karela United managed to get a goal, it only served as a consolation as Eleven Wonders held on to secure a vital 2-1 win at the end of the contest.

Courtesy of the victory, Eleven Wonders are now out of the relegation zone of the division.

A few additional wins in the remainder of the Ghana Premier League season should be enough to keep the team in the top-flight league for next season.
