Ghana Premier League top scorer, Frank Mbella Etouga squandered two penalties on Sunday afternoon when Asante Kotoko drew 1-1 with Aduana Stars.
The league leaders today hosted the team from Dormaa at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a game serving as a matchday 28 encounter of the ongoing campaign.
With the hosts proving to be the better side in the first half, the team led at halftime thanks to a sumptuous strike from poster boy Frank Mbella Etouga.
In the second half, Asante Kotoko had the chance to increase their lead when two penalties were awarded.
Unfortunately, Frank Mbella Etouga who accepted the responsibilities from 12 yards missed both spot-kicks.
In added time of the second half, the hosts were made to rue the missed chances as Aduana Stars talisman Bright Adjei scored with a fine effort to force the match to end in a 1-1 stalemate.
Despite dropping to valuable points today, Asante Kotoko remains top of the Ghana Premier League table with a huge advantage.
