Tema, Feb. 23, GNA - Kofi Gyau and Valentina Manteaw will defend the Tema Country Golf Club President's Putter they won last year when this year's kick-starts at the Tema Country Golf Course on Sunday, February 29.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club, told GNA Sports on Monday that about 120 amateur golfers from Tema, Achimota, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim have registered for the one-day 18 -Hole Handicap and Scratch events.
It is being sponsored by Mrs Young Oh Kim, President of the Tema Country Golf Club and wife of the late Mr Bok Nam Kim who single-handedly sponsored Ghana's contingent to the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.
The Tema Golf Club will after the competition, hold its Annual General Meeting.
The Achimota Golf Club will also hold its President's Putter on Saturday, February 28 and will be sponsored by its president Dr Sydney Quartey.
