Cape Coast, Jan. 28 GNA - Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Tuesday displayed abundant skills and stamina to beat University of Cape Coast, (UCC) 21-15 in the handball competition of the GUSA games being hosted by University of Cape Coast.
Led in attack by Eric Boateng, Kwesi Safo and Seth Osei Ampadu, KNUST outran and outplayed UCC to end the first half 12-6.
UCC resumed strongly and bridged the scores to 12-16 by the 50th minute but their hopes of drawing level with KNUST were shattered when KNUST increased their scores to bring the final scores to 21-15 at full time.
Other scores were University of Education, Winneba beat University for Development Studies 19 - 8 while in the women's division, University of Education, Winneba, beat University of Ghana 6-2.
