The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council (Exco) will on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, hold a meeting to discuss the future of the Black Stars after the disastrous campaign at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Black Stars featured at this year’s AFCON but unfortunately could not go past the group stage after failing to win a single game in Group C.

With the team now back home, the Ghana FA has today issued a communique noting that it is expecting to receive reports of on the AFCON campaign from the Black Stars technical team as well as the management committee.

“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is will meet on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Secretariat in Accra.

“The Technical and Management reports of the Black Stars from the Head Coach and the Management Committee respectively are expected to be submitted to the Association by close of business Tuesday, January 25, 2022,” parts of the GFA communique has said today.

According to the GFA, the meeting on Wednesday will see the Executive Council discuss among other things, the Black Stars AFCON 2021 campaign and the way forward for the senior national team.
