The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has announced that the Ghana Football Association [GFA] after Black Stars’ shambolic performance at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon.

Ghana who were chasing their continental title were crashed out of the tournament following a 2-3 defeat to Comoros in their final Group C game on Tuesday night.

The Black Stars for first failed to win a single game in the group. The team opened their campaign with a defeat against Morocco and a draw against Gabon.

Ghana finished 4th with just a point.
Following the shocking elimination, the Sports Ministry headed by Mustapha Ussif has issued a statement indicating that the hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], led by Kurt Okraku will be summoned on January 21.

The Sports Ministry also expressed their disappointment following Black Stars exit from the tournament.

Meanwhile, the team is expected to arrive in the country on Thursday, January 20.
