Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku says the Black Stars will come good in their remaining games of the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON].

The four-time African champions lost their opening game against Morocco on Monday after a disappointing performance.

Sofiane Boufal scored the game's only goal in the 83rd minute as the Atlas Lions claimed a win over the Black Stars.

The team however held a recovery training on Wednesday ahead of their second group game on Friday against Gabon before their final Group C game against Comoros on Tuesday.

Speaking to media after the team’s training on Wednesday, Kurt Okraku expressed the players are ready to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Gabon.

“The team has recovered very well and training has been impressive," he said. "The players in training today have sent a clear message and signal about their readiness. The boys would come back to winning ways and I'm extremely positive about our upcoming game against the Gabonese on Friday.

“The boys have recovered and promise to be competitive and respectful ask Ghanaians to throw their support behind this squad. This is a team that is made up of predominantly young players with 17 debutantes. That tells you clearly that the future of the Black stars is very bright and it starts now. We need to be competitive and win against both Gabon and Comoros in the next two games," he added.

The Ghana v Gabon kick-off at 19:00GMT at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.
