Ghana defender, Jonathan Mensah has rallied his Black Stars teammates to get over the defeat to Morocco on Monday and prepare for the encounter against Gabon later in the week.
The Black Stars today faced off with the Atlas Lions in the opening Group C encounter of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
At the end of a very difficult match, Ghana lost 1-0 to Morocco and must now look for a better result in the next outing.
Reacting to the defeat after the game, experienced defender Jonathan Mensah who did not feature says every player is disappointed.
He notes that the team must move on and look forward to the next game against Gabon which will be cruicial.
“We all disappointed we lost because we playing for the results, we can’t go back and change it, we just have to recover, prepare and then we go again,” Jonathan Mensah said.
The next Ghana game against Gabon is scheduled to be played on Friday, January 14, 2022.
