Cricketers to justify their inclusion on Sunday

In a bid to send a strong team to represent the country at next year's Cricket World Cup qualifiers in South Africa, the handlers of the national cricket team are to organise a day's justify-your-inclusion exercise on Sunday to select new cricketers to beef up the national squad.

Sequel to this, the handlers have invited all cricketers to the Achimota Oval for the exercise.

Ghana, has been seeded to feature alongside seven other African affiliate members in March next year at Benoni, South Africa, which takes a round robin format of two groups of which the winner qualifies for the "associate" stage, made of eight first-class African cricket countries including Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Ghana will also play host to Marylebone Cricket Club from England in February next year, and will also defend the West Africa Cricket crown they won last year.
