Division 2: Who Picks Other Zone Two B Ticket?

The race for the other available sub-middle ticket for Zone 2B appears quite dicey with as many as four clubs in serious contention to join runaway leaders, Feyenoord Academy.

The clubs are Fauzan, Dwarfs, Eleven Wise and Samartex. Of the lot, Fauzan and Dwarfs have 20 points apiece though the former has superior goals.

However, both teams face some crucial last matches which could either make or unmake their qualification dreams. While Fauzan clash with Samartex away at Samreboi, Dwarfs will have to contend with bogey side, Bafana who are battling against relegation.

Interestingly, bottom-placed Bafana beat Dwarfs both home and away last season and appear set to repeat the double over the “Abontua Abontua” boys after winning the first round encounter at Sekondi.

Any slip by Dwarfs will spell their doom while a vital home victory could sail them through. For Fauzan, they have no alternative than to beat Samartex away in order to qualify on superior goals, even if Dwarfs also win.

But Samartex who have 17 points can also spring a surprise as they are still banking their hopes on a pending protest against Wise.

In case the outcome of the protest favours them, they will be credited with two more points while victory over Fauzan could propel them to 22 points and thus brighten their chances.

Another outsider, Wise, with 18 points currently can only pray against any misfortune and work hard to win their final assignment against Vipers at Gyandu to stand a chance.

So far, Feyenoord Academy, Midtjylland, Maxbees and Bronkyempem are the only teams who can be said to have qualified ahead of the final round matches
