Accra, Oct 21, GNA - President John Agyekum Kuffour will on Wednesday, October 22, meet Ghana' s medal winning teams at the just ended All Africa Games held in Abuja, Nigeria, at the Castle Osu. The medal winners will meet the president at 12:00 PM to present their medals while the president unveils any package the government has for them.
Mr Rashid Bawa Minister of State in Charge of Education, Youth and Sports who disclosed this to the GNA Sports on Tuesday did not give details of the meeting but said there is the need for the meeting after the team had returned from the Games with an impressive performance. Ghana participated in 11 disciplines out of the 23 and emerged 10th with ten medals in Athletic, three each from Tae-Kwondo and Weightlifting with one each from Boxing, Football, Hockey and Table Tennis.
